Take care of sensitive skin naturally

sensitive skin

Sensitive skin lacks its own protection. It is often very dry and more prone to redness and skin reactions. Excessively dry skin means that the nerve endings of the skin are no longer adequately protected and sensitive skin reactions occur more quickly.

Extreme weather conditions (wind, cold, and heat), sunlight, chemicals in skincare products, and excessive use of make-up can quickly irritate sensitive skin and make it more dehydrated. But skin diseases and allergic skin reactions can also increase the sensitivity of the skin. These include, for example, eczema, rosacea, or allergic contact dermatitis.

In order for the skin to retain its protective function and avoid severe irritation, it needs sufficient care. With selected foods and home remedies, the skin can be supplied with moisture and valuable nutrients.

Lemon water

Warm lemon water protects the skin from the inside. It provides plenty of vitamin C and many antioxidants that protect against free radical damage. Warm lemon water also helps flush toxins from the blood, reducing acne and blemishes.

For the preparation of warm lemon water: squeeze ½ lemon and mix the juice in a glass of lukewarm water. Drink the lemon water every morning on an empty stomach at least 30 minutes before breakfast.

Sufficient water

The skin needs sufficient moisture. Common signs of dehydration are dry skin, headaches, and poor concentration. Drinking 2-3 liters a day provides the skin with moisture and at the same time helps flush skin-irritating toxins from the body.

Care with rose water

Rosewater is one of the best face tonics for sensitive skin. It protects the skin with its astringent, anti-inflammatory, and antiseptic properties and helps restore the skin’s natural pH.

Rosewater can be used as a facial tonic or natural makeup remover. As a make-up remover, simply moisten a cotton ball with a little rose water and use it to gently remove the make-up. For use as a facial tonic, spray your face with a little rose water before going to bed and massage in the water gently.

With regular use, wrinkles can be prevented, pores can be reduced and the skin can be supplied with sufficient moisture.
